Eigg

Here is Eigg with Rum in the very far distance, taken from Loch Moidart.

The famous Sgurr of Eigg is a major landmark throughout lots of the Inner Hebrides.

There are two famous caves on the south coast of Eigg - one cathedral cave is enormous

Once inside, the size becomes more apparent.

The other cave was the scene of great tragedy and hence the name - Massacre cave. It is much smaller than the other cave and entered by a narrow and very low 20ft passage which requires a crawl. The spirits of the dead seem to be absorbed by the dark and moist walls.
